SANM 560 - Week 1

The class voted on pitches and roles for the class and our idea was picked! I was chosen as tech lead alongside Danci and with VFX supervisor Imaz. The tech team discussed various topics of how to set up tutorials, documentation, and general pipeline. We established a naming convention for everyone to use, and I organized the Slack channels and Dropbox folders to reflect the different team groups and match naming conventions. I created a Master Document where all links to all the information and files is contained. It is designed for easier access, so a team member does not have to search email, Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, etc. to find the information they need. At first, I didn't have access to the documents I needed but after talking to the professor and Violetta I did. I added extra tabs for future work on the original spreadsheet the professor made and formatted it for when people start to use it. I helped Violetta organize contact information in order to insure effective and efficient communication among team members. I have made documents like this before, but I struggle to get people to actually use them. I am asking for feedback from my team and others to improve everything to make it easy and helpful to use. At the moment I am just keeping everything updated for when we actually start production and these things will be put into use. Any tutorials that people post in slack I put them in the proper channel and add them here if applicable. I will add more tabs as necessary in the process. I would like a larger more specific goal of what I am supposed to be doing. I thought documentation was written documents, but it seems to be video of us working? Or maybe both, need to clarify. I would like to help in other teams as well, but I don't want to step on any toes or add more complexity to a task that is already handled. - 9/15/25
