After nailing down some final changes in the previs I got to work on the stadium going to be used for the LED stage shoot. The original turf was a PCG volume which tanked the fps on the wall so it could not be used. I worked with the VFX supervisor, Seyi, to test more optimized versions. I first used the static mesh turf from the previs and then modified the material to create the run off on the edges. Then I created a version using the foliage tool as suggested by my classmates. The static mesh is the version we went with as it worked best. The team used my asset during filming and it worked successfully to move forward in our shoot.
